Purse Dump*

*A Purse Dump is a list form blog that lets you just get all the crap that’s in your head out on the page. Effy Wild

  • I hate the turning season – this end of the year. I love the turning from winter to spring, but this is different.  I get to look forward to longer darker nights, colder weather.  I suffer from SAD.  This is not a good thing.
  • Black Cats and Pumpkins are a good thing.
  • Cinnamon Buns and Hot Mulled Apple Cider are good things.
  • Maybe it won’t be so bad.
  • I can break out the yarn and do the knitting thing.
  • I’m thinking of knitting those beaded fingerless gloves and scarves I have hoarded patterns for.
  • I’m tired of working full time in an office for someone else *mentally runs through tulip fields in the sun singing “The Hills are Alive….”* (I’m still stubbornly in the season I love)
  • I feel I have been around for a loooooooong time. My mental age does not tally with my physical age.  I still can’t get over the fact I’ve been here 40 years.
  • 40 is the new 30?
  • There is still plenty of time to do a 180 change of career and do the Artist/Writer thing.
  • I hope.
  • I think I’m going through a mid-life crisis?
  • What is the meaning of life?
  • *Brain explodes*.
  • My featured image is a random photo of a flower, I happened to take – because I don’t have a bag I’m comfortable posting a picture of.

  1. Fabulous dump! Well, that sounds just odd, doesn’t it?
I’m 59. My first novel was published last year. No, it’s not to late.
Also feels the SADs Uhg. Vitamin D is helpful. Oat straw tincture is more helpful. Florida is really helpful . . . and it don’t look like I’m going there this year (pray for Florida)
All the luscious things of fall . . . pumpkins, black cats, cider, knitting . . . did you mention fires? Fires are great too.

  2. I love your list!
There is still time for a 180. Cats and pumpkins, YES!
*side eyes* the yarn basket on the shelf…..hmmph probably should work on that 😀
I love Fall. We’re expecting a hard winter, or so the farmers say. Worse than we had last year, YIKES! Granny has SAD, it’s not fun.

  3. I reckon 40 is the new 25. Seriously!
Can’t get really good cinnamon buns in my part of the UK. We used to have a cinnabon store in town but that closed down.
